More information in this regard is as follows. In January 2023, after the embezzlement of 23 crore rupees from the government bank account was revealed, a case was registered at the Police Station MIDC by the Collector's Office, Latur. According to the complaint in the said crimes, "Manoj Phulboyne, who is a clerk in the District Magistrate's office, had the responsibility of writing the records of the government bank account. By taking advantage of this, he conspired to withdraw money from the government bank account and transfer the said amount to the bank account of the main accused in the crime, Arun Nagnath Phulboyne, in the name of Tanvi Agro Agency Form." "A conspiracy was hatched. Manoj Phulboy, a clerk in the collector's office, started the work as per the plan of the accused and opened a firm named Tanvi Agro Agency and transfer the amount in the name of Tanvi Agro Farm on the basis of fake RTGS authorization letter and defrauded the government."
Thus, in the preliminary investigation of the crime, an amount of 22 crore 87 lakh 62 thousand 25 rupees was embezzled from the government bank account. About Rs 14 crore of the embezzled amount was transferred in the name of Tanvi Agro Farm. It was found that the owner of the said farm, Arun Nagnath Fulboyne, was absconding since the crime took place, i.e., for the past five months. As he changed his residence and contact number every two to three days, the police teams could not meet him. On that, Superintendent of Police Mr. Somay Munde had given guidance and instructions to the officers and enforcers of the Financial Crimes Branch investigating the said crime through meetings and instructions regarding the thorough search and arrest of the said accused.
Accordingly, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Devere, the Economic Offenses Wing team visited various places where the accused Arun Phulboyne lived and lived in a very confidential manner and secret informers were appointed at those places. A plan was being prepared to arrest the said accused after carefully analyzing the information received through the said correspondent.
Meanwhile, the police team of Economic Offenses wings received reliable and convincing information from the correspondent that the accused Arun Phulboyne is in Aurangabad and its vicinity and is moving around Aurangabad District Hospital. On receiving such reliable news, on 24/05/2023, a team of EOW officers and officials immediately left for Aurangabad, and since the said accused is very agile and intelligent, there is a high possibility that he will escape as soon as he is noticed by the police. applied
After some time, a suspect person was seen walking around the place where the trap had been laid, when the police disguised as a doctor called the suspect Isam by his name "Arun" and he said "Doctor Saheb Bola Na!" It was said. At that time, the police, disguised as a doctor and holding a trap, detained the said accused and said that they were the police. Then the accused Arun Phulbolne kept staring at the policeman disguised as a doctor. Arun Phulboy took him into custody and brought him to Latur for further action and produced him before the court, and he was remanded in police custody for 7 days.
